Happy New Year!  We had a fun Christmas.  Ella's Mimi and Poppy, and Aunt Casey came to SF bay area to visit Ella and her sissy cuz Reay.  Ella got a bouncer, lots of clothes, a few stuffed animals, a few noise toys, and a Tiffany rattle.

Ella can crawl.  Leading up to it for a couple of weeks, and made the first big trek on her 7 month birthday.

She is a picky eater, loves to kiss Reay, and started saying "da da".  "Gee" is also a favorite.  I can't wait to ask her what is "Gee".  And she has her two bottom teeth.

Her latest favorite thing is to stick her tongue out.  She wants to taste the wind (or food particles, like George!)

I went to the petting zoo in Palo Alto with my sissy cuz Reay and Aunt Court and Uncle Justin.

I have mastered rolling over to my left side.  But then I get stuck and can't roll back over.  But I am getting pretty good at pushing myself up and sitting up.

I am growing soooo fast.  I am almost grown out of my 3 - 6 month clothes and my mom just hung them up for me.

June, Welcome Eleanor Reese Phillips

Ella was born on June 6, 2008 in Mountain View, California.  She was 6 lbs and 11 oz, and 20 inches long.  She was born with brown hair and brown eyes. She was born hungry, sucking her hand.

This is a pic of Ella, at one day, and Reay, her cousin, at 9 months.  They grow so fast!  Like weeds.

Eternal Damnation!

These pics were during a photoshoot where we attempted (fruitlessly) to get a picture of Reay and Ella together. Unfortunately, either Ella was crying or Reay was crawling away.

But we did get some great shots of each of them, individually.

September, Monterey Bay

Mom went back to work this month and Dad is staying home to entertain me.

This was my second trip to the beach. We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium with Mimi and Papi (Grandma and Grandpa Price), Aunt Courtney, Uncle Justin, and my cousin Reay.

This was my first stay in a hotel. I slept really good with the real ocean waves soother.

My cousin did something that was really funny. She saw my mom patting my back to burp me, and she decided to give her a hand!

 

 

October

Ella is a little over 12 lbs and a little less than 25 inches long. She is tall and lanky.

About half way through the month, she got really sick and had to be hospitalized :(  Her intestine was distended and she was dehydrated.  She was such a trooper, the nurses and doctors said she was so mello, and she was smiling in no time.

She was sick for a week and barely ate, but she was sooo hungry the next week, she started eating solid food (rice cereal) on October 25th.

This month, Ella started using Reay's Exersaucer, sitting in her Bumbo chair, and the week before Halloween, she learned how to roll over.

She is very outgoing and smiles at everyone, unless their voice scares her. She doesn't like it when Dad says "eternal damnation" in an Irish accent!

She loves faces. She likes Obama. Babies for Obama '08!
